HOPE
If some bright day your two hands
Will touch again this face of mine,
Then two lost halves will again be whole,
And heaven itself will brightly shine.
No power of mine can lift me up,
Nor bring back youth nor smooth the skin,
Nor quicken aged brain, nor move a bitter cup,
Nor cleanse me from some hidden sin.
Only Love that willed to suffer past all pain,
Of all creation, wondrous beauty, He the Light and Life,
He knows me, hears and helps, through sun and rain,
He only, He despised and scorned, He only
Can fulfill our contract of eternal life.
I know a happy secret: the way is sure!
The way to joy, love, light and peace —
Today through mortal strife, or always —
As I yearn for the holy Shechinah and your
Sweet touch: the Comforter brings peace,
And the sum of the Plan, and of all covenants;
Earned by faith just to ask, and a humble heart,
Blest by Love like His, and of glory, our part.

Fathers mostly worked in trades, or at Geneva Steel which we could see,…
Memories of Grandma
By Emily Sanderson OlsenDecember 20, 2020 I believe that Grandma came to visit us when my brother Alan was born in Athens, Georgia when I was four, but probably my earliest real memories of her were when we visited Grandma and Grandpa in Atascadero. I don’t remember how old I was, but I do remember…
